Stereotype blog post 

One experience I had was when someone assumed I was a certain way just because I am African American. They thought I would act a certain way or get into trouble because of stereotypes they had heard about Black people. At first, I was frustrated because they did not know me well enough to make that assumption. Instead of arguing, I stayed calm and showed them through my actions that their stereotype was wrong. It taught me that I should not let other people’s assumptions define who I am.
